The other day I received an email from my cell phone provider. They wanted to share with me what they were doing to protect their staff and me, their customer, during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I sort of chuckled to myself because I really didn't see the value or point of their email. Maybe I'm insensitive, but there comes a point where customers are inundated with emails about COVID-19 and quite frankly enough is enough- I get it- everyone is washing their hands.
This pandemic has certainly taken a toll on our country and around the world. Like most people, my family is managing the best we can.
In times like these, it's easy to let the grooming slide. After all, who are we doing it for? Well, as a matter of fact, we should be doing it for ourselves. Get your razor and brush ready! Just because you're stuck at home doesn't mean you should take a break from wet shaving.
Grooming can be your great escape. It can be meditative and it can be relaxing. Now more than ever, you should continue to groom to make sure you're getting your adequate "me time". Your skin needs constant care and wet shaving is a great way to maintain it. After a great shave, you'll feel like a million bucks! If you're growing a beard, make sure you're using a beard oil or beard balm to keep your skin from drying out.
I'm finding that with more time at home, I'm able to enjoy my shaves more often. I'm venturing outside my comfort zone by working on my straight razor shaves- in particular more confidence around the chin.
Be safe and be well. May all your shaves be smooth.
