In the early period, the Taiwanese term “ oo-káu-hiann”(Black dog dude) was used to describe a stylish and handsome young man, who is often attractive for women. Much like the modern term “Casanova” or “Ladies man” in English. Just like this cologne shave soap composed with multi-layering of sleek and romantic citrus & floral scent notes, anyone could wear this captivating scent like a sophisticated suit.

P.S. This scent was inspired by famous HK director Wong Kar Wai’s cinema photography of “In The Mood For Love”, it has this nostalgic and sleek elegance in all the visual aesthetic in every frames of this film.

Scent Description

Featuring citrus, lemon peel, and pine feels confident and sophisticated top notes. The multi-layering stylish heart notes are composed with bittersweet myrtle, pleasant lavender, spicy rosemary, and romantic violet. The base notes are smoky cypress, musk, and ozone scent.

Mist Formula

“Mist” is an ultra-moisturizing & upgraded version of LAXO vegan soap base, the post shave feel is extremely comfortable and refreshing just like walking into the mist. LAXO boldly removed coconut oil and increased the proportion of camellia oil which can be easily absorbed by the skin. Camellia oil is rich in oleic acid, which deeply moisturizes and locks in moisture in skin. It also has antioxidant, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory soothing effects, and is often added to premium skincare products. Additionally the aloe vera extract is rich in polysaccharides, effectively hydrating the skin and provides calming, anti-inflammatory, and allergy-relieving effects. 

Even without coconut oil, this vegan soap still extremely easy to lather. It can easily produce a large amount of creamy lather in just few seconds, and you’ll get thick & bouncy foam almost like tallow soap within 1 minute. The smooth soap film provides excellent lubrication and protection for the skin, you can glide the razor blade back and forth and effortlessly achieve “Baby butt smooth”. 

This formula combines multiple benefits from high-quality vegetable oils. Virgin olive oil contains vitamins C, K and polyphenol compounds has deep moisturizing and antioxidant effects which can fully soften and repairs the skin. Castor oil can triggers the reproduction of collagen and elastin, making the skin smooth and reduce wrinkles. Castor oil is also rich in unsaturated fatty acid like Omega-6 and 9. The combination of these three oils providing multiple soothing effects and healing of shaving wounds. And the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial ability can also significantly relieves skin irritation of scars. Mild and hypoallergenic sweet almond oil and shea butter have excellent moisturizing effects on all skin types. The above oils all have great water retention ability and making skin feels breathable, refreshing and comfortable. Even when your face is completely dry, the skin condition is still very smooth and tender. This formula also produces long-term oil control ability can greatly improves the skin condition and maintaining freshness and comfort for several hours long.

LAXO tallow soaps can easily produce thick creamy foam with bouncy cushioning in a very short time. The silky-smooth soap film provides excellent lubrication and protection let's you glide all over your face with confidence and joy. There are many benefits of beef tallow such as moisturizing, soothing, repairing and anti-aging. Combining Shea butter and sweet almond oil for their excellent antioxidant and nourishing properties to significantly improve the skin quality.

Their tallow soap recipe has fantastic hydration and post shave effect.  No tightness at all after drying your face, which is why some of their customers even quit using aftershave balm. The refined golden jojoba oil has the property of small molecules that can be easily absorbed by skin. It also enhances the smoothness of the skin and form a protection with amazing deep hydration effect. It will continue moisturizing for several hours after washing and make the skin feel smooth and elastic.

Their entire line of shaving soaps are made using the authentic double-alkali heat process with natural plant and animal fats. Through their proprietary ingredient ratio and sophisticated hand-making techniques, each shaving soap is crafted in small batches, resulting in exceptional performance in terms of lathering power, foam support, smooth, protective film, and moisturizing properties, rivaling even high-priced imported soaps.

Each fragrance in the LAXO series is made of natural essential oils or imported fragrances certified by IFRA internationally. The goal is to create a distinct sense of identity and bring local olfactory memories into the shaving soap. Fruity notes such as red guava, Kyoho grape, pineapple, kumquat, etc. are blended into the shaving soap. Combined with the ingenious naming and situational cover, it creates an atmosphere and aesthetic that is completely different from European and American soaps.
