Behind the Counter

Come on in. Take your time.

The coffee’s imaginary. The music’s on the house. Press play, settle in, and have a look around.

Think of this as a little note from behind the counter. A place to discover something worth a closer look, hear a story from the shaving shelf, and enjoy the slower side of a good shave.

Keep the radio on while you browse: open your shopping links in a new tab and leave this page playing. I’ll mind the counter.

This week’s counter pick: Bay Rum

Some things never go out of style. A good brush, a proper lather, and that familiar Bay Rum scent.

Henri et Victoria’s Bay Rum is a Canadian-made shaving soap.

One of the most classic scents found in barbershops and shaving dens around the world.

Bay Rum is a masculine aroma consisting of top notes of Ozone, Jasmine, Muguet and Lemon. Mid notes consist of a gorgeous mingling of Lilac, Rose, Carnation and Lavender florals. Bay Rum would not be complete without a handsome base note combination of Patchouli, Vanilla and Rum.

When you open the lid you'll be surprised and pleased that the scents are well balanced and not too powerful.

With its warm rum-and-vanilla base and earthy patchouli, Bay Rum feels right at home in fall. Think crisp mornings, a favourite sweater, and a little extra time at the shaving mirror. A comforting, old-school scent that’s perfect for the season.

Thanks for stopping by. There’s always something worth discovering on the shelf.
