Customers ask me all the time for great gift ideas. Normally, I like to ask a couple of questions:
1) Are they new to wet shaving?
2) What types of scents do they like or dislike?
Answering these 2 questions will often point you in the right direction. Someone who is new to wet shaving doesn't necessarily need the most expensive razor and brush (did the owner of Stone Field just say that?) Yes- yes I did! While I will gladly sell you a high end brush or razor to someone new to wet shaving- I don't think they would enjoy the experience. I would rather sell them a razor and brush that will make them feel comfortable and allow them to enjoy the experience.
Often people enjoy or despise particular scents. Often the scent descriptions don't do it justice. For example- people who have never experienced tobacco scents- automatically assume the person will smell like cigarettes and cheap cigars. However, many of our tobacco scents will reward the user...and the sniffer with fantastic sweeter notes you never knew existed that will make you feel like a million bucks!
Once you've figured out these two questions- it's time to find the right gift.
