Wow, I wasn't entirely too sure how this would work out because I've never used a soap from E&S Rasage before, but I have zero regrets. Before you even use it, just popping off the lid is a treat.
While I was expecting a fruity, tropical scent, what I got was a very strong feeling of cookies, like the special ones they might make at a Mrs. Fields. It was delightful, if not exactly what I was looking for, but the vanilla really came out in the lather.
Speaking of, the lather was really good and super quick. Rather than lather up directly in the tub, I took a small chunk with my thumbnail and put it into a bowl and it was overflowing in seconds. With not too much water, it made a really dense coat that could easily have worked for four passes if you were crazy enough to do it. It made for a really nice slick first pass. It did dry out a little in between so don't hesitate to get more water into it for your subsequent passes.
I've had other soaps that leave the skin feeling a bit dry, but I guess the goat's milk thing is real. My skin didn't come away with that tight feeling (even after a splash of aftershave) and instead feels very refreshed, new, and moisturized.
It's going to take me a good while to get through this generous tub, but when it's gone, I'll be coming back here to see if I can get any more. I'll also check out some other E&S soaps while I'm at it because this one was certainly impressive.
Smells amazing and it lathers very well
