After 7 years of running my online store, the time has come for me to make a difficult decision. It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of my my online store. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have supported me throughout this incredible journey.
This past Sunday morning, as I sipped my coffee, I realized that it was time to let go. It was a bittersweet moment as I reflected on the memories and experiences I had gained from this venture. Closing down the store was not an easy decision, but I knew it was necessary to reclaim some lost time and redirect my focus towards my other hobbies, interests, and most importantly, my family.
Running an online store has been a rollercoaster ride filled with ups and downs. There were times when I faced numerous hurdles and challenges, but I never gave up. I persevered because of the unwavering support of my wife, Stav. She has been my rock, constantly pushing me forward when I felt like throwing in the towel.
The landscape has changed. There are certainly more online stores offering great wet shaving gear. There are also lots of great artisans making lots of great products. I also think the wet shaving enthusiast has also evolved. When I first began, people were sharing their "mail calls" and discussing their upcoming purchases. As everyone's den filled up (myself included), wet shavers have gone from buying, to trading and sharing. While this certainly isn't the reason I am closing, I do believe it is a more challenging environment both for artisans and vendors.
The future is uncertain, and I am unsure of what it holds for me. However, I am optimistic about the new opportunities that await. This closure marks the end of one chapter but opens the door to countless possibilities.
