I woke up this morning and checked the temperature — just 15°C. After such a wonderfully warm (okay, downright hot) summer, I have to admit: these cooler mornings are starting to shift my mood. September has a way of doing that. Maybe it reminds you of the 1978 Earth, Wind & Fire hit, or maybe it's back-to-school vibes that come to mind. For some, it’s the quiet signal that summer is winding down and the seasons are about to change.
As the days grow shorter and the crisp air sets in, there's something undeniably comforting about winding down with a good drink and a warm fire. At Stone Field Shaving Company, we’ve captured that cozy, fireside moment in Sippin’ by the Fire — available in both a shave soap and a skin-soothing aftershave. Interestingly enough, while this scent is perfect for the Fall season, it was originally focused on celebrating our Canadian summers.

Sippin’ by the Fire was born on a quiet summer night while I was on the road, staying in a hotel near YYZ. I had been flying quite a bit, and during one of those evenings, an idea for a bold new scent started forming in my mind. I reached out to Chris at Highland Springs and pitched what I thought might be a bit of a wild concept.
At the time, I had no intention of making it a regular product. It was meant to be a one-off — maybe, if things went well, a limited seasonal release. Funny enough, I didn’t expect this to be a scent I’d personally reach for — it was a departure from my usual preferences. But to my surprise, the response was incredible. Its popularity quickly grew, and before long, Sippin’ by the Fire earned a permanent spot in our year-round lineup. I have also grown to love this scent.
