In previous years, as September approaches, the focus has always been on the classic scents of Fall like amber, sandalwood, and tobacco. Henri et Victoria's "Duc de Santal" has been a staple in the Fall fragrance lineup and you may recall my blogs and emails about this fragrance. However, this year, there's a new scent on the block - Patchouli. I hope you'll keep reading.
What makes Patchouli unique?
The aroma of Patchouli is reminiscent of a bygone era, bringing back memories of vintage cars like my dad's old Austin Healey. The dark green body, the leather seats, and the chrome hubcaps - all captured in the essence of Patchouli. It's almost as if a car freshener with Patchouli scent was hanging on the rear view mirror. It's amazing how scents play with our memories.
Why is Patchouli gaining popularity?
Surprisingly, Patchouli has made its way into a variety of products, showcasing its versatility and appeal. From perfumes to candles, skincare to home fragrances, Patchouli is making a strong comeback in the scent industry.
With its earthy, musky, and slightly sweet notes, Patchouli adds depth and character to any fragrance blend. It's no wonder that more and more people are gravitating towards this nostalgic scent for the Fall season.
Two of my personal favourite products that feature Patchouli are Highland Springs "Mystic" and Blackbird Farm & Apothecary "Mystic Order". Don't let the names distract you from the incredible and unique fragrance that each one brings.
