Challenges for 2020


 

Dear loyal customers and friends,

On December 1st, I was notified that shipping rates with several shipping carriers were all increasing effective January 1st including Canada Post. After careful consideration, I decided to maintain our existing rates for the month of January so that I could properly assess the potential impact this would have on my company and more importantly on you, my customer.

Shipping continues to be my greatest operational expense. I recognize that many companies offer free shipping and I believe that this is something I can continue to offer.

I reached out to several customers and friends to discuss our shipping challenges and to learn what I could do in order to continue to offer exceptional service, and minimize a negative impact on your shopping experience while also ensuring that my little company was sustainable. These customers were open and honest and didn’t hold back.

After gathering as much information as possible I have made the difficult decision to make adjust our Canada wide and USA shipping.

On February 1st the following shipping options will be made available to all of our customers:

 

- All Manitoba/Winnipeg residents will continue to receive free shipping or delivery;

- All orders outside of Manitoba but within Canada or the USA will be eligible for a Canada Post calculated shipping rate (for orders under 70.00) OR free shipping for orders of 70 dollars or more;

- International orders will continue to pay calculated Canada Post shipping.

 

Please note that All calculated shipping rates are the ACTUAL rates Canada Post charges based on address, parcel size and and parcel weight. I will NOT raise these costs or inflate them.

 

Finally, I am actively working towards offering each and every one of our customers an opportunity to take advantage of a once or twice per year FREE SHIPPING day- where you can get free shipping on ANY purchase. I realize that sometimes people fall short of the minimum spend and this is my way of saying thank you. I hope to have more information about this in the next month or so.
