Borrowed Time, Borrowed Seasons, and a Beloved Return

It’s November 17th and—somehow—there’s still no snow on the ground. In Manitoba, this feels a bit like finding an extra cookie in the box: unexpected, appreciated, and absolutely not to be trusted. We all know winter is simply biding its time. We are, as pilots say, flying on borrowed daylight.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes at Stone Field Shaving Co., I'm working hard… and, yes, still trying to solve the never-ending puzzle of cross-border shipping. I know—I know. It shouldn’t be this complicated to send great shave products a few miles south. I’d love nothing more than to hand-deliver your aftershave myself, but alas, regulations say otherwise.
So please—write your Congress. Let them know that wet shavers everywhere deserve better. Republican or Democrat, this mess stings everyone equally. Your face deserves more than red tape.

But onto brighter—and much more exciting—news.

Last week, I officially re-launched North of Fifty, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. This isn’t just another product on the shelf. It’s a return to the roots of my company, a story woven from northern lakes, floatplanes, cabins, and the quiet nostalgia of the bush.

The scent you remember has changed. It’s now more refined, more layered, more mature. A sophisticated blend that feels like stepping into a warm cabin after a cold flight… even if the snow is fashionably late this year.

To everyone who’s reached out with excitement and support—thank you. Bringing North of Fifty back has reminded me why I started all of this in the first place: community, craft, and a good story told well.

Bundle up (eventually), enjoy the mild weather while it lasts, and as always—
Happy shaving.
